New part-time Magistrate sworn in

Phill Bettis was recently sworn in as Forsyth County’s part-time Magistrate.

A longtime member of the county’s legal community, Bettis has been a practicing attorney for nearly 34 years.

Bettis has an extensive history of community and church involvement and was instrumental in forming the Forsyth County Bar Association in the early 1980s, serving as its first president.

He will continue his legal practice while serving in his new capacity, which started Jan. 1.

Walker H. Bramblett is the Chief Magistrate for Forsyth.
