SOUTH FORSYTH -- Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies are in search of a man suspected of stealing a vehicle during a robbery in south Forsyth late last week.

The carjacking occurred when a woman was approached by the suspect while she sat in the Dunkin Donuts drive thru at 7810 McGinnis Ferry Road, which is just east of the intersection with Old Atlanta Road and the Forsyth-Fulton County line.

According to Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman with the sheriff’s office, the man walked up to the driver’s side door and “forced her out of the vehicle by her hair.”

The victim reportedly described the suspect as a black male in his early 20s with short hair and wearing black track pants with a white stripe down the side and a white T-shirt.

Deputies were dispatched to the Riverwalk subdivision shortly after the incident, where they recovered the vehicle.

A Forsyth County crime scene unit processed the scene and is investigating the incident.

Rodriguez said the suspect is believed to be involved in a foot pursuit that originated in Suwanee just before the carjacking took place.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (770) 781-2222.
