SOUTH FORSYTH – A man led deputies on a foot chase Tuesday that ended in his capture about two hours later, authorities said.

John Sizemore, 36, of Cumming, reportedly ran from deputies after they initiated a traffic stop just after 10:45 a.m. July 28 for on Brookwood Road and Vaughn Drive, according to Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

He was found hiding in a pool house in the Brookwater subdivision off Christopher Robin Road.

He has been charged with obstruction of an officer and parole violation and was taken to the Forsyth County Jail Tuesday afternoon, where he remains without bond.

Rodriguez said deputies were aware at the time of the traffic stop that Sizemore had an active parole violation warrant and that he has a history with the sheriff’s office that includes fleeing from officers, driving without a license and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Sizemore also was arrested seven times in 2003 for breaking into vehicles.
