Dahlonega author to speak at Cumming Library
Mark Warren
“Adobe Moon”

Mark Warren first came upon the legends of Wyatt Earp when he was 7 years old, an encounter that began a lifelong fascination with the famed 19th-century western American character. Warren eventually cultivated a writing and teaching career, but he continued to research Earp, even attending conferences about the figure.

Now 70, Warren finally took on the challenge of tackling Earp’s life in novel form. The Dahlonega author and historian will speak on his new book, “Adobe Moon,” the first in an anticipated trilogy about Earp, at the Cumming Library on Thursday from 7-8 p.m.

“I’d like to explain more about the perfect storm of events that occurred in that particular time that set the arena for a person like Wyatt Earp to become the man he did,” Warren said.

The event will be at the library’s campus at 585 Dahlonega St. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
