Challenged Child & Friends offering summer program

GAINESVILLE — Challenged Child & Friends is accepting applications for its Summer Sensations Program.

According to a news release from the organization, the four one-week sessions are the weeks of June 15, June 22, July 6 and July 13. The program is for students with and without special needs.

The release states that students will take part in educational, therapeutic and fun activities. Full and half day sessions are available for all four sessions.

Challenged Child is an early intervention center in Gainesville serving and educating children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in Hall, Forsyth and 12 other counties.

It offers a tailored and integrated experience where children with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities learn and grow in a full inclusion program with children who have typical development.

It follows a “whole person” program that uses the coordinated efforts of a professional team with diverse qualifications and experience.
