The Forsyth County school system’s proposed 2013-16 strategic plan is available online at www.forsyth.k12.ga.us. Comments will be accepted through Feb. 8.
Stakeholders have another two weeks to offer comment on the Forsyth County school system’s proposed strategic plan for 2013-16.
The proposal features a handful of approaches to instruction, human resources and facility, safety, technology and operational services.
It was developed with input from students, staff, parents, local school councils, business leaders and local communities.
System spokeswoman Jennifer Caracciolo said it’s important to receive public feedback on the plan before it’s approved.
“[The plan] is important because it provides overall strategic direction for the management of the school district, and gives specific direction to areas, such as instruction, facilities planning and financing, to access student success,” she said.
“With the new plan, Forsyth County schools can look ahead, anticipate change and develop a strategy to proactively and successfully navigate to the year 2016.”
Among the goals are to ensure a highly effective work force, leverage technology for all students to increase learning and to deliver high-quality services to maximize available resources.
A full list of milestones, data points and strategies for each of the five approaches can be on the system’s Web site.
The Board of Education likely will approve the plan next month.
