Lanier Technical College has announced Donna Brinson will serve as the school’s new vice president for academic affairs.
In a news release, the school said Brinson has worked at the school since beginning as an adjunct instructor at the school’s Oakwood campus in July 1994, leading to a full-time career starting in October 1997 as a mathematics instructor on the Forsyth campus.
“Mrs. Brinson has spent the last 24 years at Lanier Technical College,” said Ray Perren, president of Lanier Tech. “She has served as an academic leader for the last 17 years. Her work has allowed her to build relationships with faculty and staff at all of our campuses. Over the years, Donna has demonstrated strong, effective leadership and a commitment to the mission of our college as well as a commitment to the success of our students.”
Brinson has served as academic administrator since 2002 and has served as the college’s dean of business, public safety and professional services. She has served under four presidents of the school.
“I strongly believe in the college’s mission of Workforce Development,” she said. “I look forward to the opportunities that this new role will provide to ensure that the college continues to offer quality education, hands-on training, and relevant career opportunities for our students.”
