School will be closed Monday for students in the Forsyth County school system.
The day will serve as a professional development day for staff.
The number of professional development days for teachers has been cut in half, said school spokeswoman Jennifer Caracciolo, but the timing made Monday ideal.
“We felt it was important to preserve this day so teachers can have a day for professional development after CRCTs and for high school teachers, before their End of Course Testing, so they can have time to prepare for the end of the school year.”
Classes will resume Tuesday.
