Classes: Georgia Tech distance learning calculus; current AP classes include research, literature, statistics, macroeconomics and physics C.
Next steps: Applied to 16 schools, but top choices are Auburn, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Duke, Harvard and South Carolina to study biomedical engineering.
In school: Beta Club; National Honor Society; DECA; going to the national DECA competition this spring; West’s Star Student this year, which honors the best single-day SAT score and requires the student be in the top 10 percent of the senior class; National Merit semifinalist, waiting to hear who are finalists.
Out of school: Involved in her church youth group and planning to go on mission trips this summer; running.
Future goals: To get a master’s degree in whatever field of study she decides, for which she is currently interested in getting into the “corporate side of biomedical engineering, like integrating sales with the science aspect.”
