There’s still time to register for Family Promise of Forsyth County’s annual Cardboard City event, where local residents raise awareness of homelessness by stepping into the shoes of Forsyth County’s most vulnerable residents.
The 2019 Cardboard City event will be held at Bethelview United Methodist Church in Forsyth County, from 6 p.m. Friday, May 3 to 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 4.
During the event attendees can camp out overnight in a cardboard box fort of their own creation, enjoy a “soup kitchen” dinner, participate in games and awareness-building activities, all while learning about the work that Family Promise does in the local community and raising money for the group.
Registration costs $25 per person or $30 per person with an event shirt. More information and registration can be found at www.fpforsyth.org.
