CUMMING – A Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputy received minor injuries to his leg from a gun discharge Thursday afternoon.

The deputy, who Cpl. Robin Regan said is fine, was transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth from a shooting range he was at for training out of the county to the north.

“It’s not a serious injury,” Regan said. “He’s already fine.”

The sheriff’s office is not releasing any more details on the incident.

He was initially transported in a patrol car but was transferred to an ambulance en-route.
