NORTH FORSYTH – Overnight lane closures on the bridge that carries motorists on Hwy. 53 over Lake Lanier in north Forsyth will continue Wednesday night.

The single-lane closure will be from 7 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. April 13 while crews pour another substructure support for the new bridge, affecting the road from Dogwood Trail to Little Hall Park.

“Please drive alert as flagging operators and a pilot truck will be controlling traffic over the bridge,” said Katie Strickland, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Transportation, in a news release.
