A used book sale over the weekend at the Cumming branch of the Forsyth County Public Library drew steady crowds to view the largest inventory yet.

The library’s Friends & Advocates group holds the occasional sales as fundraisers for programming.

Organizer Lynn Pansen described the sale as a “huge success.”

“We sold more than 7,000 books and raised over $6,700,” Pansen wrote in an e-mail.

The Friends organized more than 10,000 books, as well as CDs and DVDs, for its biggest sale to date.

Shoppers can still browse the collection year round at the book store, which opened in February at the Cumming library.
