CUMMING — The Kiwanis Club of Cumming recently donated $200 to Family Promise of Forsyth County, a nonprofit that is in the process of raising funds and commitments from churches to form an interfaith network.

Once Family Promise secures $50,000 and 13 host congregations, it can house families experiencing homelessness.

Kiwanis’ donation pushed them above $5,000.

Among those taking part in the check presentation were, from left, Phil Eve with Kiwanis, Jim Leeds and Lola Larson with Family Promise and Mike Burns of Kiwanis.
