A team from Forsyth Central High School took first place at the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge on Saturday at the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, N.C.

The Bulldogs’ team competed against five others from Georgia and Virginia in a fast-paced challenge to accurately tear down and rebuild an engine.

Qualifying teams will compete against more than 40 other high school teams at the Dual National Championship Qualifiers in November and December, where students can win up to $10,000 in scholarships from the Universal Technical Institute, the event’s host.
