Forsyth County Senior Services is inviting residents to turn back the clock and take off their shoes Saturday for a Sock Hop at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center.

The event for ages 40 and older will be held from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. and will include classic sock hop diner food, dancing and entertainment.

“We expect this will be a very special night and will be full of exciting surprises attendees will never forget,” said Valerie Rhoads, interim senior services director.

“We are all really looking forward to this event and are encouraging everyone who attends to dress in 1950s and ’60s attire.”

Tickets are $20 per person in advance or $25 at the door. They’re non-refundable and may be purchased with cash or check at Forsyth County Senior Services locations.

Opened in September, Sexton Hall Enrichment Center serves active adults ages 50 and older.

It offers a variety of opportunities, including art, music, drama, continuing education, technology, fitness and leisure activities.

Sexton Hall is at 2115 Chloe Road, just off of Sharon Road between Peachtree Parkway and Old Atlanta Road.
