Chattahoochee Pointe Park will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday
Chattahoochee Pointe Park

Chattahoochee Pointe Park in south Forsyth County will be temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, May 30 for about one week so crews can work on the trail.

The park, which celebrated the opening of an expansion to the trail system, acreage and amenities in February, will see its trail be coated with a polymer product.

“This trail improvement was planned in conjunction with recent Chattahoochee Pointe Park improvements but needed the right outdoor temperature to complete the work,” said Jodi Gardner, spokeswoman for the county.

The product, called M10+50, is a long-lasting, cost-effective solution to maintaining the life of the trail, Gardner said.

“It will stabilize the trail surface and reduce future maintenance costs, and the cost is less than standard concrete or asphalt,” she said.

This park will be the only owned and maintained by the county with this product.

Chattahoochee Pointe Park is located at 5790 Chattahoochee Pointe Drive.
