Forsyth County will have a new face heading its public facilities department.
Last week, Forsyth County announced that Dennis Daniel had been selected as the department’s director. He will oversee work involving maintenance for county buildings, equipment and grounds, as well as county capital projects.
“We are pleased to have Dennis join the Forsyth County staff,” County Manager Doug Derrer said in a news release. “In addition to his strong facilities management experience, he brings to the position skills in strategic planning and industry knowledge in safety and regulatory compliance.”
Daniel was previously senior facilities manager with CBRE/ADP and has more than 20 years of experience in areas such as management in operations, process improvement and capital projects.
He is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
The position was previously held by David Thornton, who recently retired after more than eight years with the county.
