A member of the Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals has resigned his post to join another governmental body.
During a zoning board meeting Tuesday night, Chairman Jim Kinsey announced that H. Craig Nolen, who represented District 3, had submitted his resignation and would be joining the planning board.
The District 3 seat on the planning panel is currently held by Jim Kelleher.
Forsyth County Commissioner Todd Levent, who appointed both men, explained that Kelleher is stepping down because of a work opportunity that will limit the time he could serve.
“I hate to lose him,” said Levent, adding that he plans to appoint Ed Kroell to take Nolen’s place.
