National Day of Prayer set for Thursday downtown

Several speakers are scheduled to attend a National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 3, in front of the Forsyth County Courthouse Annex.

District 4 Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills is one of several speakers scheduled to attend a National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 3, in front of the Forsyth County Courthouse Annex.

Other guests include U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall, State Rep. Kevin Tanner, Forsyth County District 2 Commissioner Dennis T. Brown, Cumming Mayor Troy Brumbalow, Forsyth County Division Fire Chief Jason Shivers, First Redeemer Church Pastor Jeff Jackson and Mountain Lake Church Senior Pastor Chris Emmitt.

The North Georgia Barbershop Singers will perform the National Anthem, and the North Forsyth High School R.O.T.C. will present colors. 

The event is set to begin at 10 a.m., and the public is invited to attend.
