NORTH FORSYTH — A 65-year-old Cumming woman remained in stable but critical condition Monday, a day after she was involved in a single-vehicle crash in north Forsyth.

Authorities say the wreck occurred about 7 a.m. Sunday when the Nissan Maxima the woman was driving left Chattahoochee Road near Shady Grove Road and struck a tree.

According to Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, a homeowner who lives in the area heard the collision and called 911.

The woman was flown to an area hospital in critical condition. Rodriguez said drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.
