An Indiana woman is accused of molesting a 12-year-old boy while she was in Hall County with a friend this winter.

Selena Delatorre, 22, was arrested Thursday on charges she “engaged in a sexual act” with the boy between Christmas and February, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, authorities say they learned she also beat her 2 1/2 -year-old son with a phone charger cord, “leaving visible injuries in several locations on his body.” Then she abandoned her children with a friend “indicating that she no longer wanted them,” the Sheriff’s Office reported.

She was arrested by Gainesville Police and booked into the Hall County Jail.
