Womens nonprofit receives faith-based accreditation

FORSYTH COUNTY -- The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) announced on June 1 its recent accreditation of Whispering Hope Women’s Resources and Pregnancy Center of Cumming.

“We are pleased to accredit a ministry committed to offer compassion, hope and help to anyone vulnerable to abortion by presenting life affirming alternatives and support and by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ,” ECFA President Dan Busby said.

The ECFA, founded in 1979, accredits leading Christian nonprofits based on demonstration of compliance with the ECFA “Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship.” Accreditation of an organization also demonstrates that organization’s willingness to “follow a model of biblical accountability.”

With the ECFA accreditation, Whispering Hope joins a growing number of accredited Christian churches and ministries nationally that are supported by more than 27 million EFCA donors.

Whispering Hope was founded in 1996 as an organization that follows the belief that every human life begins at conception and is worthy of protection.
