Woodall to speak at Cumming American Legion Monday
Woodall Rob

CUMMING -- A local veterans group will host U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall this week.

On Monday at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 307 will host Woodall, who represents the 7th Congressional District in south Forsyth and Gwinnett County, at the National Guard Armory at 100 Aquatic Circle off Pilgrim Mill Road.

The event is open to members and veterans in the county and will give attendees a chance to meet Woodall and ask questions.

The American Legion is the world’s largest veterans’ organization, and any veteran who served during a war-time era and received an honorable discharge is able to join.

The group also helps veterans learn about benefits and access the Veterans Administrations, as well as raising funds for youth programs such as Boy and Girls State, Boy Scouts, Oratorical Contests and Patriotic Events.
