Celebrate Christ at Christmas

I cannot believe that people do not want to observe Jesus’ birthday. They had rather say "happy holidays" than acknowledge Jesus’ birthday.

Listen. Christ was born and was sacrificed for all of our sins and eternal life. We were put here on this earth to worship him and to spread the "good news." We should not be afraid to fight for our Lord and Savior because without him there would be nothing. He made the world and everything in it and we are only using it as we pass through and prepare ourselves for eternal life in Heaven with our God.

When we don’t stand up and we worry about hurting someone’s feelings, we are not doing what we should be doing. So we as Christians need to stand up for what we believe by acknowledging the one and only God — the great Savior and Lord of us all.

I know we all fear what is going on in this world with the recession, with Congress not working together, unemployment, foreclosures and several other things that we worry about. All we have to do is put it in the Lord’s hands in prayer because he is God and he will handle our problems according to his will and time frame.

Merry Christmas and remember, God loves all of us.
