Abby Cox's RBI single in the top of the 10th inning was the only offense Forsyth Central needed Tuesday, as the Bulldogs knocked off No. 1 seed Parkview 1-0.
Central pitcher Bailey McCachren was dominant, pitching all 10 innings, striking out 21 while giving up just three hits.
Lauren Wall was placed at second base to open the 10th inning, Mattie Smith bunted her over to third, then Cox came through with a single to right field, scoring Wall.
Parkview had a chance to retaliate in the bottom of the frame, but forced a pop out and two strikeouts to strand the Tigers' runner at second base.
Sydney Moroney, Kristi Brower, Cox and McCachren finished with one hit apiece for the Bulldogs.
Central (14-17) holds a 1-0 lead over the top team from Region 7-7A and can advance to the second round of the playoffs with another win tonight.
