Basketball: Deckard, McIlwain sign letters of intent to play in college

Lambert senior basketball players Austin Deckard and Jordan McIlwain got a glimpse of their recent past Wednesday at National Signing Day ceremony.

Along with a small crowd of friends and family, the two watched their highlight tapes projected on a screen in the school's cafeteria. 

Then the two celebrated their future and signed letters of intent to continue playing at the next level. Deckard signed with Georgia College, while McIlwain signed with Spring Hill College.

Both have been major contributors for the Longhorns the past several seasons. Deckard was named all-county the past three years and averaged 11 points, four rebounds and two steals a game this past season. McIlwain was named all-county the past two years and averaged 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals this past season.
