What to know: Last season it took Lambert more than a few weeks to get its offense running at full speed, but after a 32-15 win over Johns Creek last Friday, the Longhorns will have another great opportunity this week to get in a flow following a sub-100 yard performance in its season opener that might have caused some worry. Running back Ken Dicks saw his production increase in the second game, rushing for 91 yards on 14 carries after having just five total touches against Lanier. Richie Kenney also settled in, completing 14 of 19 passes against the Gladiators.
Centennial doesn’t look like the toughest opponent, having lost its first two games by a combined score of 73-6, albeit it faced No. 5 Roswell in the opener. After South defeated Centennial at home, 21-6, on Friday, this game sets up as a measuring stick of sorts for Lambert.
