Kassie Howard was dominant in the circle for Lambert.

The senior pitcher struck out 12 batters and allowed just three hits in the complete game 5-1 win over South Forsyth on Wednesday at Lambert.

The Lady Longhorns (21-2, 9-1 Region 6-AAAAAA) broke the scoreless matchup open with a four-run fourth inning before adding their final run in the sixth. Maddie Butz and Macy Stovall recorded an RBI, while Savannah Huffstetler hit a solo home run.

South’s Katherine Huey took the loss but only gave up two earned runs, as the defense was charged with four errors.
