Lambert’s girls lacrosse team has rebounded well after a season-opening loss.

The Lady Longhorns ran their winning streak to four games and picked up their first area victory by defeating North Forsyth 8-6 on Friday at Raider Valley.

Danielle Dollar and Gabby Case continued their offensive show against the Raiders, with Dollar tallying four of the Lady Horns’ eight goals and Case adding two. Jessica Beck and Kirsten Barth also scored one goal apiece.

Turnovers and ground balls helped keep Lambert (4-1, 1-1 Area 3-AAAAAA) on top in a tight game. The Horns edged North (2-4, 0-2) in the turnover battle 18-14, led by Anna Lummus’ six takeaways.

Grace Sisserson (6), Anna Lummus (5), Emily Brennen (5), Kirsten Barth (4) and Ali Wilson (4) led the attack on any ball that hit the ground.

Lambert is scheduled to travel to Mill Creek on Thursday and Creekview on Saturday.
