Former Lambert midfielder Heather Lacy is ready to play soccer for Ole Miss.
Lacy, who scored over 50 goals in her high school career, signed her letter of intent back in February and is already on campus at Ole Miss to work out with her new teammates.
"I chose Ole Miss because I really fell in love with the beautiful campus and the soccer program," Lacy said. "It was just one of those things where it felt like the right fit for me."
Lacy doesn’t know how much playing time she’ll receive as a freshman, but plans to compete for a starting spot.
"[I’m] not sure what to expect with playing time," she said. "I’m just going to put in a lot of effort in every training session and see what happens. It’s hard to have expectations because this is all new for me, but I expect to give it my all and see where it goes from there."
