Soccer: 3 Lambert players named All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches

Lambert soccer players Chris Smith, Hayden Fontana and
Madison Haugen were named to the United Soccer Coaches’ Winter/Spring High
School All-America Teams for their performance in 2019.

Fontana and Smith, both recently graduated seniors on the

22-1-0 record and their second straight
Class 7A state title. Fontana was easily the most productive offensive player
in the county, finishing with 25 goals and 7 assists, and Smith finished with
15 clean sheets on the season and made numerous crucial saves in Lambert’s
title game win over Lakeside-DeKalb.
Haugen, a Georgia commit, led the Longhorns girls team to
one of the most dominant seasons in county history in her return to high school
play after taking a year off due to travel team commitments. She scored 33
goals, assisted on 15 more and had six hat tricks while leading the Longhorns
to a 22-1-0 overall record.
