Alpharetta was simply too much for North Forsyth to handle.

Alpharetta used a 25-7 first quarter run to pull away from North for a 71-50 win Friday at Raider Arena.

“They jumped out on us early,” North head coach Brian Moon said. “They were up 16-2 and just beat us. They’ve got a good team and those players have a lot of skill.”

Alpharetta led 38-20 at the half before extending its lead to 57-33 to end the third quarter.

Ty Toney led Alpharetta with 16 points, while North’s Brandon Rapson paced the team with 14.

North (3-6, 0-3 Region 6B-AAAAAA) will square off against Forsyth Central on Thursday at home.
