2017 Forsyth County News All-County Girls Lacrosse Team

Girls Player of the Year 

Peyton Smith, Lambert, M, Sr.

The senior midfielder was the team’s go-to player in the sport’s pillar components - draw control and scoring. Smith led Lambert in both, with 78 draw controls and 81 goals to help the Longhorns reach the Class 6-7A state semifinals for the first time ever. Smith signed with Kennesaw State.

Girls Coach of the Year

Kate Sedgwick, Lambert

In her second season back with the Longhorns, Sedgwick led the program to its best season ever - a 16-6 record and run to the Class 6-7A state semifinals, where they came a goal away from reaching the state championship.
