Eleven baseball players from Forsyth County teams earned spots on the Georgia Dugout Club's All-State baseball team, which was released on Monday.
Six players from the county's public schools earned spots on the teams for Class 7A, with Forsyth Central's Ethan Hankins and South Forsyth's Grant Pearce being named to the first team.
Hankins, a Vanderbilt commit, has established himself as one of the top talents in the class of 2018 and was nearly unhittable in 2017, with an eye-popping 77:7 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 0.90 ERA. Pearce was one of the top power hitters in the state, finishing with 10 home runs, 11 doubles and a .442 batting average.
Lambert second baseman Josh McAllister, who hit .319 with 11 doubles and four home runs, was named to the 7A second team. West Forsyth shortstop Bryar Hawkins, Lambert first baseman Griffin Jarrett and North Forsyth shortstop Tyler Sheley were named honorable mention.
Five Pinecrest Academy players were named to the Class 1A team. Will Patota, Ben Gobbel and Ryan McCarthy were named to the second team, and Caleb Bohn and Patrick O'Rourke were named honorable mention.
