The Centennial girls’ basketball team’s frenetic pace was too much for Chattahoochee in a 69-58 victory Saturday in the Region 6-AAAAAA tournament at West Forsyth.

The Lady Knights (18-8) secured a spot in the state tournament and will play the Lambert-South Forsyth winner in the region semifinals Monday.

Centennial senior guard Jada Triplett scored 15 of her team-high 19 points in the second half, Brianna Perry scored 18 points and Jillah Moede added 11 points.

The Lady Knights held a comfortable lead the entire game. Their smallest lead was 32-28 with 6:02 left in the third quarter.

But Centennial kept pushing the ball scoring fast-break and transition baskets. It closed the third quarter on a 20-4 run to push its lead to 52-32 and never looked back.
