The Lambert boys and South Forsyth girls took home team and individual titles at the Lambert River Run cross country meet, held Saturday at Chattahoochee Point Park.
The Longhorns boys finished with 41 points overall, besting the 51 of second-place South. Lambert's Tyler Fox won the individual title with a time of 15:35.80, and fellow senior Lee Keil finished fourth in 16:01.87. The War Eagles' Michael Patterson and Sean Catania were fifth and sixth in 16:27.40 and 16:28.80, respectively. Forsyth Central, which finished fourth as a team, had Calan Gizelbach place third individually in 15:38.41 and Eli Smith place seventh with a time of 16:30.05.
South's Caroline Patterson finished first in the girls race in 19:10.11 and helped lead the War Eagles to an easy team win, with their 32 points easily outpacing the 79 of second-place Mill Creek. South's Madelynne Cadeau finished third overall in 19:14.74, and Aleesa De Castro was seventh in 19:39.50. Lambert finished fourth as a team with 98 points, and Longhorns freshman Caroline Gaharan finished sixth overall in 19:33.89.
North Forsyth finished sixth as a team in the boys race, with Josh Schunk placing 11th individually in 16:43.20, and Pinecrest Academy finished 13th. Forsyth Central finished eighth, North Forsyth finished 13th and Pinecrest finished 14th in the girls race.
