Four county cross country teams competed in the Wingfoot XC Classic, held on Saturday at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville. The South Forsyth girls team won the team title, and Lambert was the county's highest team finisher in the boys race, in fourth.

The War Eagles didn't place a runner in the top 10, but their five scorers were tightly bunched, from 15th to 41st. Kaylee DuPont came in 15th, at 18:51.01, and Aleesa De Castro was milliseconds behind, in 18:51:04. Lambert finished 19th in the team standings, West Forsyth was 20th and Forsyth Central was 30th. Lambert freshman Caroline Gaharan was the county's highest non-South finisher, coming in 34th in 19:30.56.

The boys race was dominated by Milton, which placed runners in second, third and fourth and won the team title by 142 points. Lambert did get strong performances from seniors Tyler Fox and Lee Keil, who finished seventh and 10th, respectively. South Forsyth's Michael Patterson finished 25th, in 16:06.14, to lead the War Eagles to a seventh-place team finish. West Forsyth finished 24th and Forsyth Central finished 25th.
