Creekside Christian at Horizon Christian

When, where: Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at Bennett Park in Cumming.

Records: Creekside is 1-0; Horizon is 0-1.

Last meeting: Creekside won 44-0 in 2013.

What to know: The Warriors are coming off a 40-6 loss to Nathanael Greene Academy in their season-opener that was simultaneously encouraging and frustrating. Encouraging, because after a season in which Horizon went 0-10 and scored just four touchdowns, the Warriors were able to move the ball on offense last Friday. Frustrating, because Horizon lost six fumbles, including several inside Nathanael Greene territory.

The highlight was Michael Walker’s 25-yard touchdown catch from John Michael Booth that pulled Horizon within 14-6 in the second quarter.

"We’re just building and taking baby steps," Warriors head coach Charles Wiggins said after the game. "Until we mature in our mindset and stop making mental mistakes, we’re going to struggle."

Creekside offers Horizon its latest chance to see how much progress the Warriors have made against a team they lost to 44-0 last season.
