The Forsyth County News is pleased to announce the hire of Ian Frazer to cover local sports.
Frazer joined the FCN this week, already working to gauge local baseball coaches’ reactions to new pitch-count limits codified by the Georgia High School Association just a few weeks before the season started.
Frazer already has impressive experience covering athletics after graduating from the University of Missouri, one of the top journalism schools in the world. He served internships at respected media organizations Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus as well as the Columbia Daily Tribune. Frazer then covered high school and college sports at the Argus Leader in South Dakota for a year.
Now, Frazer joins the FCN’s award-winning sports section to help tell the story of the county’s local athletes, teams and communities.
“I'm very excited to be here in Forsyth County to cover a rapidly growing high school sports scene that is one of the strongest in the country,” Frazer said.
