Forsyth softball players swept all the major Region 6-AAAAAA postseason awards as voted on by the region coaches.

Lambert senior Kassie Howard was voted Pitcher of the Year, while South Forsyth senior shortstop Meghan Rud and Lambert senior shortstop Megan Whitlatch were Co-Players of the Year.

Howard dominated on the mound for the Lady Longhorns, going 23-4 with a 1.31 ERA and 186 strikeouts in 138 2/3 innings. Whitlatch was a force at the plate for Lambert hitting .516 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs. Both signed with Berry College.

Rud wreaked havoc on the base paths for the Lady War Eagles. The Mercer signee hit .389 and led the region in runs scored (49) and stolen bases (52).
