Four Forsyth County baseball players will join 14 other metro Atlanta high schoolers at the Braves 400 Fan Club’s Annual High School All-Star Luncheon, scheduled for May 31 at Turner Field’s 755 Club.

North Forsyth’s Cory Campbell, Lambert’s Zach Graveno, West Forsyth’s Mason McWhorter and Pinecrest Academy’s Andres Perez—all departing seniors—have been invited to the exclusive event. Atlanta Braves director for player development Jonathan Schuerholz will speak at the event, while the 2016 Player of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced at the end of the luncheon, which will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Campbell, an outfielder and a Player of the Year selection by the Region 6-AAAAAA coaches, will continue his baseball career at Air Force. Graveno, named Pitcher of the Year, will go to Mercer. McWhorter has signed with Georgia Southern and Perez,a catcher  the son of Atlanta Braves first base coach Eddie Perez, will continue his career at North Georgia.

Since the event began in 1974, the Braves have had dozens of selections advance to play at the major league level. Recent honorees of note include Jeff Francoeur (Parkview), Brian McCann (Duluth), Dexter Fowler (Milton) and Zack Wheeler (East Paulding).

Last year North pitcher Dakota Chalmers and West outfielder Alec Wilson were invited to the event. Chalmers was drafted by the Oakland Athletics 97th overall in last year’s first-year player draft, while Wilson currently plays at Stanford.

Admission to the luncheon is by advance reservation only, with the deadline for purchase by Friday, May 27. The cost is $25 for Fan Club members and $30 for non-members. Reservations can be made at braves400.org.
