Kimbrough's 2 TDs lift Horizon Christian footbal to first win

James Kimbrough rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries as Horizon Christian Academy won 42-0 against Hearts Academy on Saturday at Bennett Park for the Warriors’ first win of the season.

Horizon (1-2) rushed for 370 yards on the day. Travis Pittman added 95 yards and a touchdown, while John Michael Booth ran for 64 yards and two touchdowns.

The Warriors’ defense, meanwhile, held Hearts Academy to just 102 total yards of offense. Booth, Ty Logan and Michael Walker each had interceptions. Walker returned his 60 yards for a touchdown and had five tackles including two tackles of loss.

"It was great for the boys and the program to get a win," Horizon head coach Charles Wiggins said.
