DAHLONEGA - The Lambert boys’ golf team finished second in the Region 6-AAAAAA tournament on Monday at Achasta Golf Club. The Longhorns came within one shot of the title, finishing with 300 total shots to Johns Creek’s 299.

Lambert’s Campbell Fisher earned low medalist honors as the top individual performer by shooting even-par 72. Fisher’s teammate Jake Fendt wasn’t far behind, shooting a 2-over 74.

The Longhorns’ second place finish has earned them a trip to sectionals, which will take place on May 5 at the Georgia National Golf Club in McDonough.
