With North Forsyth girls basketball’s undefeated season at jeopardy, Lochlain Corliss came through.
The junior guard hit an 18-foot running hook shot at the buzzer to give the Lady Raiders a 54-53 victory at Centennial on Tuesday in a Region 6-AAAAAA game.
North improved to 17-0 overall and 7-0 in the region.
Avery Scarbrough led the Lady Raiders with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Caroline Bowns added 14 points, while Corliss finished with 13 points.
South Forsyth 74. Johns Creek 20: The Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.
Sarah Myers had 23 points and eight rebounds for South, which improved to 15-2 overall and 6-1 in the region.
Caroline Diem had 11 points, K.K. Storms added 11 points, seven assists and five steals, Shelby Threlkeld added eight points and Ally Welch had seven points, seven rebounds and five steals.
Sequoyah 44, Forsyth Central 33: The Lady Bulldogs couldn’t get a Region 7-AAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.
Central fell to 5-12 overall and 2-5 in the region.
South Forsyth 41, Johns Creek 39: The War Eagles survived for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.
The War Eagles improved to 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the region.
Providence Christian 69, Pinecrest 53: Nick Palmer’s 25 points weren’t enough for the Paladins in a Region 8-A loss Tuesday at home.
Pinecrest fell to 5-12 overall and 4-3 in the region.
Zayne Rice added 11 points and five rebounds for the Paladins.
