SOFTBALL

Forsyth Central 11, North Atlanta 0

ATLANTA – The Lady Bulldogs won their second Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game in as many days Tuesday on the road.

Central improved to 8-8 overall and 5-3 in the region.

South Forsyth 5, Habersham Central 0

Emily Harris went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI as the Lady War Eagles won a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Katherine Huey got the win for South (10-2-1, 8-1) allowing just two hits over seven shutout innings. Huey also went 2-for-2 with a walk, run scored and two RBIs.

Maddie Clawson and Sofia Tapia each went 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI.

West Forsyth 7, Chattahoochee 6

Courtney Canady hit a walk-off sacrifice fly and the Lady Wolverines survived with a Region 6-AAAAAA win Tuesday at home.

Canady went 2-for-2 for West (8-5, 6-3) with three runs scored.

Randee Bernstein went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and an RBI, while Paighton Roushey was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

VOLLEYBALL

Forsyth Central splits area opener

Amber Walsh had 13 kills as the Lady Bulldogs defeated North Atlanta (25-13, 25-17) and lost to Riverwood (25-20, 25-20) on Tuesday at home.

Julie Jaison added eight kills for Central (11-7, 1-1), while Amber Waddell had 21 digs.

Lambert splits

JOHNS CREEK – The Lady Longhorns defeated Centennial (25-12, 25-19) and lost to Johns Creek (25-22, 25-11) in Area 5-AAAAAA matches on the road.

North Forsyth swept

JOHNS CREEK – Maddie Bryant had nine kills as the Lady Raiders lost to Chattahoochee and West Forsyth (25-16, 25-17) on Tuesday on the road.

Maddie Palmer added seven blocks (five solo) for North (11-9, 0-1 Area 6-AAAAAA).

South Forsyth sweeps

Taylor Svehla had 48 kills as the Lady War Eagles had an impressive night against three area opponents Tuesday at home.

South (16-9, 1-0 Area 6-AAAAAA) defeated Alpharetta 25-17, 25-15), Habersham Central (25-8, 25-14) and Northview (26-24, 23-25, 25-23).

West Forsyth splits

JOHNS CREEK – Taylor Ashcraft had 17 kills and 11 digs as the Lady Wolverines defeated North Forsyth (25-16, 25-17) and lost to Chattahoochee (23-25, 25-21, 25-20) on Tuesday on the road.

Chloe and Shelby Lance added 11 kills each, Gabby Bachner had 20 assists and Jordan Leitch had 24 assists.
