Centennial 11, North Forsyth 5

The Raiders dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday at home.

North fell to 11-11 overall and 5-5 in the region.

The Raiders struggled to muster much offense against the Knights. Cory Campbell had two of North’s four hits.

Centennial meanwhile pounded out 15 hits against North pitchers Jacob Cherry, Cody Gottberg and Tyler Koch, and the Raiders didn’t help themselves in the field committing seven errors.

Pope 3, Forsyth Central 1

The Bulldogs lost a crucial Region 7-AAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Central fell to 10-11 overall and 8-7 in the region.

The loss spoiled a strong start from pitcher Nik Verbeke, who pitched a complete game and allowed just two earned runs.

Parker Beiderer went 2-for-3 to lead the Bulldogs at the plate.

Pinecrest Academy 9, Prince Avenue Christian 6

The Paladins hung on for a Region 6-A victory Tuesday on the road.

Pinecrest improved to 11-8 overall and 7-7 in the region.


Lambert 114, Alpharetta 135

The Lady Longhorns got an impressive Region 6-AAAAAA win Tuesday at Laurel Springs.

Freshman Christine McDonnell shot a 35 to lead Lambert.


Forsyth Central 3, Kell 2

The Lady Bulldogs won their second straight with a Region 7-AAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Central improved to 6-8-0 overall and 5-5-0 in the region.

It was the Lady Bulldogs’ fourth win in their past five games and sixth in their past eight.

Abby Meert led Central with two goals, including one off a penalty kick. Abbey Fagan added another goal on a header off a corner kick.

Lambert 0 (4), Lassiter 0 (2)

The Lady Longhorns outlasted the No. 7-ranked Lady Trojans in penalty kicks for a big non-region win Tuesday on the road.

Lambert improved to 9-6-0 overall. The Lady Longhorns are 3-3-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA.

Lambert out-shot Lassiter 10-6, but neither team could connect in regulation or overtime.

But the Lady Longhorns prevailed in penalty kicks, getting finishes from Keely Cartrett, Catie Colbert, Laura Cooper and Maggie Hanusek.

South Forsyth 9, Flowery Branch 0

Blakely McDonald and Rachel Shah both had hat-tricks and the Lady War Eagles cruised to a non-region win Tuesday at home.

South improved to 10-5-0 overall. The Lady War Eagles are 4-2-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA.

Mackenzie Norton added two goals for South, while Ashley Mitchell also had a goal.

Collins Hills 3, West Forsyth 2

Carsen Parker scored twice but it wasn’t enough for the Lady Wolverines in a non-region loss Tuesday at home.

West fell to 7-8-0 overall. The Lady Wolverines are 2-4-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA.


Kell 2, Forsyth Central 1

The Bulldogs lost in a Region 7-AAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Central fell to 0-14-0 overall and 0-10-0 in the region.

Luis Morales scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs.

South Forsyth 3, Flowery Branch 2

The War Eagles edged the Falcons in a non-region victory Tuesday at home.

South improved to 7-9-0 overall. The War Eagles are 3-3-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA.

South got goals from Landon Cook, Ryan Peppenhorst and Juan Sanchez.

West Forsyth 4, Collins Hill 3

John Newman had a big senior night in the Wolverines’ non-region win Tuesday at home.

West improved to 6-8-1 overall. The Wolverines are 3-3-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA.

Newman scored all four goals for West.
