PREP ROUNDUP: Forsyth Central boys soccer gets region win

WHITE – Conner Hicks scored twice in the second half and Forsyth Central boys soccer got a 3-2 victory against Cass on Friday in a Region 7-AAAAA cross-over game on the road.

Gavin Mitchell score the other goal for Central (3-11).

Johns Creek 6, South Forsyth 2

Eduardo Morales scored a goal but it wasn’t enough as the War Eagles dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday at home.

Jordan Pellitier assisted on the goal for South (2-14, 1-8).

Other scores: Centennial 5, North Forsyth 1.

The Lady War Eagles (13-3, 7-2) dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday at home.

The loss means South will be a No. 3 seed going into the state playoffs.

Other scores: Centennial 8, North Forsyth 0.


Blessed Trinity 17, Pinecrest Academy 3

Alex Tilken had two goals but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Paladins dropped an Area 3-AAAAA/A game Friday at home.

Sarah DiFazio scored the other goal for Pinecrest (4-7, 3-3).

West Forsyth 17, Alpharetta 6

ALPHARETTA – Monica Martelli had six goals and the Lady Wolverines cruised to their fourth straight victory in an Area 3-AAAAAA game Friday on the road.

Erika Cross added three goals for West (9-4, 5-2), while Sarah Grady, Channing Milford, Kelly Guthrie and McKinley Puckett each had two goals apiece.

Maggie Dickman also scored a goal.
