PREP ROUNDUP: Forsyth Central softball wins sixth straight

MARIETTA – Alexa Hull went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI as Forsyth Central got an 8-4 victory against Sprayberry on Tuesday in a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game on the road.

Gina Fishler earned the win for Central (6-4, 4-1), allowing just five hits over seven innings.

Morgan Watson went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, while Marissa Hull hit two doubles and drove in two RBI.

Central also got strong performances from Sadie Waters (2-for-4, 2R), Hannah Carpenter (2-for-4, R) and Lindsay Race (2-for-4, RBI).

Lambert 8, Johns Creek 3

JOHNS CREEK – The Lady Longhorns got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Lambert improved to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the region. The Lady Longhorns moved into third place in the region with North Forsyth’s loss to South Forsyth on Tuesday.

West Forsyth 10, Alpharetta 0

ALPHARETTA – Bailley Concatto went 3-for-3 with three runs scored as the Lady Wolverines cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Kelly Carpenter got the win on the mound for West (9-3, 6-1) for her fifth win this season.

Lauren Crowe went 1-for-2 with three RBI, Alana Frye was 2-for-3 with two RBI and Hayla Seitz went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Other key contributers for West were Abbey Poe (1-for-4, RBI) and Carlie Behan (1-for-2, RBI).


Forsyth Central splits tri-match

The Lady Bulldogs defeated North Springs (27-25, 25-23) and lost to Riverwood (21-25, 22-25) on Tuesday at home.

Central improved to 5-6 overall and 1-2 in Area 7-AAAAA, Div. B.

Horizon Christian 3, Dawson County Christian 1

DAWSONVILLE – The Lady Warriors got a 25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18 victory Tuesday on the road.

South Forsyth sweeps tri-match

JOHNS CREEK – Amanda Nugent had 23 kills and the Lady War Eagles cruised to two Area 6-AAAAAA victories Tuesday on the road.

No. 2-ranked South (17-3, 3-0) got wins against Habersham Central (25-7, 25-9) and host Northview (25-13, 25-11).

Lily Kincaid had 11 kills for the Lady War Eagles, while Shea McNamara added 10.

Courtney Darling led the team with 51 assists. Erin Yeatman had 41 digs.
