MILTON – Cale Jackson’s leaning 3-pointer at the buzzer was the difference for Forsyth Central boys basketball in a 62-60 victory against Cambridge on Friday on the road.
Down 60-59 with mere seconds left, Jackson pushed the ball up-court with just enough time to loft a shot well behind the 3-point line at the top of the key. But it went in, and Jackson finished with 16 points.
CJ Smith had a team-high 18 points for Central (6-10, 2-3 Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B), while Monty Kurtz added 11.
Chattahoochee 56, North Forsyth 41
JOHNS CREEK – Garard Amoyo had 14 points but the Raiders dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Chad Bureau added 13 points for North.
Forsyth Central 40, Cambridge 32
MILTON – Julie Richards had 17 points and the Lady Bulldogs pulled out a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B victory Friday on the road.
Caroline Hearn added 10 points for Central.
North Forsyth 43, Chattahoochee 40
JOHNS CREEK – The Lady Raiders started strong early and held on late for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
North (9-6, 5-4) led 20-0 after the first quarter and by as much as 28 going into the fourth quarter. Morgan Grindle had 16 points and five rebounds, while Amber Jones added 11 points.
West Forsyth 57, Alpharetta 42
ALPHARETTA – Jenna Staiti had 23 points and the Lady Wolverines earned a victory on the road Friday to remain unbeaten in Region 6-AAAAAA.
Kale Schlegel added 11 points for West (11-3, 9-0), while Jane Ortlip scored nine.
